Airbus To380
The Airbus To380 is an aeroplane tetrarreactor manufactured by the European consortium Airbus. Treat of the first aircraft with two covers along all his fuselaje (unlike the Boeing 747). With a maximum capacity of order of the 850 passengers (in a configuration of high density of class tourist), is the commercial aeroplane bigger of the world, surpassing to the classical Jumbo, when offering an useful area of a 49% more than this last. The first flight of this aircraft was realised in Toulouse, France the 27 of April of 2005 and realised his first commercial flight the 25 of October of 2007 with the airline Singapore Airlines.
History
The official presentation of the Airbus To380 realised to the 11:01 of the 18 of January of 2005, in the hangar of assembling. Al act assisted more than 5.000 invited and had the presence of Jacques Chirac, Gerhard Schröder, Tony Blair and José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, in representation of the four countries partners of the company Airbus and co-financiadores of the project.

The first flight realised the day 27 of April of 2005 from the airport of Toulouse (France). The flight had a length of 3 h and 53 minutes and returned to the same airport. The only passengers were the members of the crew; two pilot and four engineers accompanied by more than 20 tonnes of instruments and ballast. The total weight in the despegue was of 421 tonnes, roughly a 75% of his maximum weight for despegues commercial. This was the despegue heavier of the history of a destined commercial aeroplane to the transport of people.
The 29 of following October the To380 landed for the first time in an international airport, the one of the region Rin-Meno (Fráncfort of the Meno), with the end to fulfil a series of indispensable essays to obtain his permission of flight.
The 10 of January of 2006 the To380 realised his first flight trasatlántico, with destination to the Airport of Rionegro, Colombia, near to Medellín, where carries out technical proofs of his engines.
The 4 of September of 2006 the To380 realised a flight of proof with 474 passengers, workers of Airbus, although this type of flights do not form part of the necessary conditions to the technical certification of the aeroplane.
The 12 of December of 2006 obtains the Certified Type of the authorities EASA and FAA.
The 15 of October of the 2007 did delivery to Singapore Airlines of the first model of the aeroplane prepared to be used commercially.

The first commercial flight, Singapore – Sydney, took place the 25 of October of the 2007. The notes of this flight (and the one of return) were sold in his integrity in eBay. The more than two million euros collected were delivered by Singapore Airlines to charitable causes.
The manufacture
The aeroplane is assembled in a new plant of Airbus in Toulouse, inaugurated in May of 2004. The new factory, built in two years in a new industrial zone (ZI) of 220 hectares beside the airport of the city, will be devoted totally to the To380. His central hangar has 490 metres of long, 250 of width and 46 of high, and in his building used 36.000 tonnes of steel.
To the plant of assembling of Toulouse arrive elements and pieces of 16 factories of Airbus in Germany, France, United Kingdom and Spain.
