Lamborghini

Lamborghini Automobili Lamborghini Holding S.p.To. Commonly known like Lamborghini, is an Italian manufacturer of sportive cars founded in 1963 by the manufacturer of tractive Ferruccio Lamborghini (1916-1993). As it seems, Lamborghini had kneaded a cuantiosa fortune. Passionate by the sportive, install in a diminuta villa called Santa Agata, in Bologna, to few miles of Maranello for rivalizar with his neighbour, Enzo Ferrari, as a result of one litigates by the quality of his cars. The original company called Automobili Ferruccio Lamborghini SpA, that derived to his time of the Lamborghini Trattori SpA.

From the first coupes sportive until the current "Bat" and "Gallardo", the Lamborghini always have highlighted by his brilliant provision and his exotic designs, perhaps are the GT (Big tourism) more powerful, expensive and fast of all the world.

History

Finished the second world-wide war, Ferruccio Lamborghini, began to buy excess of military vehicles to turn into them agricultural machinery. Such was the success of his new business that for 1960, Lamborghini already was the third industrial Italian in the rubro of the building of machinery for the agro, especially of tractors. With the gains obtained, Ferruccio began a life opulenta, purchasing some properties, and especially a lot of sportive cars and Mercedes, Lancias, Maseratis and Ferraris. It was an admirador of Enzo Ferrari by the form in that kept his company, but always had a difficulty: Ferruccio always had mechanical problems with his Ferraris. The motivation in particular, and the drop that satisfied the glass, was the embrague of his Ferrari 250 GTB. After numerous reviews in workshop, still failed. Ferruccio decided to disarm it and verify the same, and when discovering that it had a lot of pieces that occupied in his tractors, clear that with a price more abultado when being in a sportive car, angered. Tired to have to bear these incovenientes, boarded a conversation with Enzo Ferrari that happened to the history.

As the words of the same Lamborghini: "The Ferraris only created me problems". "A day, already fed up to command them to the workshop, called to Enzo to say him that his cars were pure rubbish". "And it answered me that: A manufacturer of tractors could not understand his cars". From this curious discussion, the iracundo proprietary began to scheme the idea to manufacture sportive cars to compete with the mark of the Cavallino Rampante.

The first model of the mark of the toro bravo was the 350 GTV, that did not happen of prototype, which developed a maximum speed of 240 km/h. Afterwards it followed him the 350 GT And 400 GT 2+2 that had big acceptance by the public, but would not be mostly known until the radical Lamborghini "Miura" of 1967 that marked the trends in cars extremely swift. This had a big attractive and was the first car of production in carrying the engine in central position, with the peculiarity that this was the only where mounted in transversal position(a V12 with 370 CV in the case of the Miura P400). This idea was influenced by the big success of the Ford GT40 Mark II that had by that then, which would be the origin of the term superdeportivo. This new configuration of the engine would not be well sight by his archirrival Ferrari, since as words of Enzo: The horses have to throw of the car, not to push him (refiriendose to the longitudinal leading position of the sportive) but the big success of the Miura and his soberbias qualities of handle did to Ferrari obligadamente dump to the central engine in his next models, thing that keeps until our days in both manufacturers, and influencing in many others.

In 1973 it followed him the still more famous Lamborghini "Countach" where the term of Superdeportivo would finish to coin: extremely low, wide, fast and with doors of tijera. It was the king of the speed around 13 years in his numerous variations ("LP 400" of 1973, "LP 400S" of 1978, "LP500S" of 1983, "Quattrovalvole" of 1985 and "25 Anniversary" of 1988). Lamentably the crisis of the oil and the disadvantage of only sell expensive and exotic cars carried to Ferruccio to sell totally his factory in the decade of the 70 after numerous economic difficulties that loomed with closing the factory. To avoid this, resort to manoeuvres like doing a pact with BMW to realise the first M1, project that prosperó half, and the development of a todoterreno for the militia called LM002.

Simultaneously to the superdeportivos with engine V12 went realising other less powerful and "accessible" like the Islero (1969), Jarama (1970), Urraco (1972). All these names are Spanish, related with the tauromaquia, that was the passion of Ferruccio. "Miura" Is an ancient criador of toros bravos, "Islero" was a famous animal that killed to the famous torero "Manolete". In general each name is taken of a toro bravo "indultado", this is that it have forgiven him the life in the sand by his bravura and prowess in it litigates against the matador, affine characteristics with the cars, always as Ferruccio. Of here the shield of the signature that carries by name "Raging Bull" (toro of lidia)

Already in the years 90 (when it had an ephemeral apparition in the Formula 1) would appear the substitute of the "Countach" was the spectacular Lamborghini "Devil" (the name Devil comes of a bravo animal of the 19th century that struggled a battle against the torero "Chicorro" in the sand) which demanded for himself, as already was habit in the models with engine V12 of this mark, the title of car of production swifter of the world, surpassing the 320 km/h.

They realise numerous variations with basic "Devil": the "VT" of total traction (1993), the " 30" (1994) that conmemoraba the 30 years of the factory, the "SV" (1996) or "Spinto Veloce" (Place ready for speed) but in spite of these master works, Lamborghini could not repuntar economically, what carried it to be to the edge of the failure in 1998. Finally the last Devil "GT" (1999), "GTR" (1999) And "VT 6.0 " (2001) disappear and give step to the Lamborghini "Bat" (Toro "indultado" by batallar in a fierce fight against the torero "Lagartijo") in 2002, and to the parallel the less powerful "Gallardo" in 2003.

At the beginning of 2003, there was an agreement with the German team Reiter Enginnering to enter the first Lamborghini strictly of competition in careers of the FIA GT. The idea of the careers for Lamborghini had been descartada already in his starts because as the words of Ferruccio: The careers are the fastest way of arruinarse, I compete in the street. For this it was necessary to adapt to the Bat under the strict norms GT, under the new Bat R-GT, and later with the Gallardo GTR. Both until the date have had a success moderated.

The company celebrated his 40 years in the year 2003 finding in his best moment, since it has cuadruplicado his sales in the world, in 2004 created the model descapotable "Bat Roadster", and in 2005 the "Gallardo Spyder", in 2006 launched the evolution with basic "Bat" called "LP 640", the edition limited "Reventón" and the "Gallardo Superleggera" in 2007; and in a near future could come a GT 2+2 and a todoterreno.

Lamborghini Is considered an of the most prestigious marks and wished of the world of agreement to the big quality achieved by his sportive, many of these mythical referents of the contemporary history of the car.
